Health and Safety qualification hat-trick for Richard Irvin team
Commercial Gas Engineer, Chris Quinn, recently gained the NGC, supporting his work on the Health and Safety committee. Technical & Compliance manager, Craig Murray and HSEQ Advisor, Jennifer McCulloch successfully achieved the NEBOSH National general certificate. This is widely recognised as the gold standard global award for Health and Safety practitioners. The rigorous process included; in-person training, study, written assessments and a practical assessment, where the candidates had to compose a risk assessment, COSHH assessment and method statement for real world situations within Richard Irvin FM. These were then independently assessed to the NEBOSH global standard with all candidates receiving a pass.
This certificate meets the academic requirement for technical membership of IOSH (TECH IOSH) and allows them to advise on Health and Safety matters and compose and verify risk assessments.
Jennifer is now continuing her personal Health and Safety studies and has enrolled in the NEBOSH National Diploma which is an IOSH recognised graduate level qualification. Both Craig and Jennifer are also currently finalising an SVQ qualification in auditing in the workplace to further enhance their current auditing skills and competencies.
